Run Online
Are you in the wellbeing sector & keen to meet fellow sector contacts?
Are you interested in wellbeing topics & giving yourself some time out for yourself?
Have you or someone you know been affected by loss?
Our topic this month is loss and we plan to tackle it in a practical, supportive and positive way.
Understanding and managing loss and grief is something we all have to face in life at some stage and 2020 has certainly increased the frequency of this and added complication to the process.
Whether it is the loss of a loved one, friend or family member, job, relationship, or pet, the psychological process can be unpicked and managed with the right tools.
Our speaker this month is Jacqueline Eyre of Eyre Therapy and she will be focusing on providing supportive and enabling advice and tools to help those experiencing loss, either directly or by way of supporting others.
Discussion themes will include:
How to understand the change process and manage loss to move forwards.
What to say and what not to say
Differences between depression and grief
This event is intended to support those with an interest in wellbeing topics as well as those in the wellbeing sector that are open to meeting fellow sector contacts to share advice. With spotlight talks and facilitated conversation, plus a low charge for visitors and free rate for Colony Club members, events aim like to support the wellbeing of our contacts because of how extensively the sector has been impacted by the pandemic which had led to both wellbeing businesses and practitioners being affected as well as the end users.
Attendees will benefit from advice, knowledge sharing, support and inspiration.
Colony Wellbeing First Friday is a monthly wellbeing-focused event run by The Colony Networking Group on the first Friday of the month (usually held at Lymm Business Centre). The original format when it began was that some months would include an afternoon of short treatments or taster sessions from local therapists whilst other months might include presentations and discussions on a wellbeing topic or simply provide a chance to socialise with other wellbeing sector or wellbeing-minded individuals.
