#LinkedInLocal Warrington – Autumn 2019 event

Step beyond Connection to explore Emotional Connectivity

If you’re based in or near Warrington, come along to the next #LinkedInLocal Warrington event on Wednesday 6th November.

Following the successful and popular events of 2018 and 2019, the hosting team is delighted to confirm the next event, which will be hosted by Kirsty James and Kate Jenkinson at the Village Hotel, Warrington.

Our event has been purposely timed to coincide with National Stress Awareness Day so that we can incorporate the very pertinent theme of mental health. With the assistance of coach and facilitator James Perryman and an amazing panel of leadership, development and psychiatric experts, we shall be exploring Emotional Connectivity, exploring personality styles and bringing this all back to our communication techniques both offline and online on Linkedin.

The event will again be free as LinkedInLocal is non-commercial. It will be ticketed on a first-come, first-served basis with a waitlist system beyond that. Instead of an admission charge, you are kindly requested to consider making a suggested voluntary donation of £5-10  (cash or card at the arrival desk) to Creating Adventures, the Warrington charity supported by the organisers.

Agenda (subject to adjustment):

18.00: Arrival, Registration, Open Networking

18.30: Welcome and Introductions

18.45: Panel

19:00: Table based activities, hosted by a panelist

19.45: Thanks and Networking

What is #LinkedInLocal?

#LinkedInLocal is a global networking movement.

#LinkedInLocal events are non-commercial and they aim to provide a mechanism for LinkedIn connections in a given location to meet up in person.

The #LinkedInLocal Warrington host team comprises Kirsty James and Kate Jenkinson.

#LinkedInLocal events have run across the globe since 2017; the purpose is to get to know your connections on a personal level, and genuinely connect with the humans behind the LinkedIn profiles.

What can you expect?

You can expect contacts, plenty of inspiration, visits from Linkedin hosts from other towns and cities, maybe a LinkedIn or networking-themed activity plus short inspirational talks but mainly lots of open networking time. Two things the event is not however: It’s not a LinkedIn training workshop; and it’s not another networking group or event, traditional form or otherwise, aimed at competing with the existing provision out there.

What do you do now?

* Click the RSVP button to pre-book a place rather than arriving on the door so we know how many to expect and can manage our waitlist;

* Cancel your ticket if your plans change and you can’t come (so we can release your space to someone on the waitlist);

* Spread the word amongst your local contacts. If you’ve got local contacts you’ve connected with on Linkedin but who you’ve never met in person, then now is the perfect time to put that name to a face and re-introduce the human element into your networking. Catch up with both familiar local connections and make plenty more new ones.
