SPEAKERS*

Dr Michelle Harvie – our headline speaker

Harvie is an award-winning research dietician. For the last 22 years she has specialised in optimum diet and exercise strategies for weight loss and preventing breast cancer and its recurrence. Her findings have been published in many major scientific journals. Dr Harvie is the author of the best-selling book The 2-Day Diet

She was awarded the British Dietetic Association Rose Simmond’s Award for best published dietetic research in 2005, Manchester City Council’s 2007 International Women’s Day Award for Women in Science, and the National Association for the Study of Obesity Best Practice Award for best published obesity research in 2010.

Karen Sankey

Karen Sankey worked as an NHS doctor for over thirty years and after hitting a low morale and job satisfaction point in 2016 made the decision to do something different and support individuals in a more meaningful way. She focuses on what makes us as humans truly well and fulfilled, and to support and provide tools for individuals to flourish and thrive.

Joann Mackreth and Lorraine Antypova

“Joann, a former English Teacher, now seeks to inform and strengthen the financial wellbeing of women as a Financial Planner by navigating life events which have an inevitable impact but are not always spoken about, such as becoming a mother and menopause. She is joined by her colleague Lorraine, an Investment Manager, who provides insight into female traits which can inhibit financial wellbeing.”

Christine Ditchfield

With her bubbly personality Christine built a very successful business pre covid and then hit a low last year when she had to make the decision to close her business. After going through a very dark time she picked herself up and moved on.

* Our speaker program is subject to potential alteration due to Covid or other late availability issues beyond our control that may require us to replace a speaker or allow them to join by video link. We confirm that a minimum of 3 speakers will be at the event in person.

EVENT ORGANISERS:

KTS Women in Business is a collaborative project between three of the most renowned networking event organisers in the North West, who have been referred to in the regional press and by attendees as the ‘Queens of Networking’, the ‘Three Amigo’s’ and the ‘Backbone of Networking’ in Cheshire and Manchester.

Kirsty James, Tricia Peters and Sue France (KTS) each run their own networking groups comprising over 30 years of experience organising business and networking events. Between them, they have helped hundreds of people to connect and grow their businesses and they are responsible for thousands of pounds worth of business in the region. They do this by facilitating the right introductions and also by providing events, workshops and seminars to increase the knowledge of their attendees.

Although each of the ladies has their own unique brand and their individual style of bringing people together, their core message is the same. They know that, although social media is a fantastic tool for business development, nothing beats direct communication via events and building up a business relationship gradually.
