Networking and Presentation event
Open networking plus a presentation on the implications of recent accounting and cyber issues on small business.
Our event will begin with the usual opportunities for both open as well as structured networking. In the structured part of the event, we shall then hear from our two guest speakers – Jane Swain of Lymm Tax Services and Jennie Williams from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit.
Presentation:
The latest accounting changes to be enforced upon small businesses (including tax return changes and the move to cloud services and software) and a summary of essential cyber-related challenges impacting your business.
Presentation 1 – ‘All change for tax’ by Jane Swain.
The way you make tax returns is changing. How and when you send information to HMRC and the way in which you keep your records is being tightened up, find out how this will affect you.
Presentation 2 – ‘Protecting your business from the threats of Online Crime’ by Jennie Williams. In light of the increasing number of threats to our business from hacking of websites and email idendities through to maintaining the security of company and customer data, this presentaiton will cover best practice advice for protecting yourself and your business.
